Growing in Faith

As Christians, it is crucial to continuously grow in our faith. This is because believing in Jesus and getting saved is not the end of our journey. After we believe and convert, we then begin the lifelong process of sanctification, in which we grow in maturity and holiness throughout the rest of our lives. There are numerous Bible passages about the process of sanctification and growing in faith. We are to grow more and more into the likeness of Jesus Christ, our savior. Galatians 5 - Fruits of the Spirit Galatians 5 talks about the fruits of the Spirit. It says this: 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. God's Love for His People

God's love for His people is completetly unlike anything else ini this world. God's love is completely unconditional, not tbased upon anything God foresaw in anyone. It is based upon His sovereign and wise will alone, and we did not deserve or earn it in any way. Verses About God's Love In 1 John 4:10, John writes thisi: In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. That Jesus is the "propitiation for our sins means that He satisfied God's wrath against us when He died on the cross. Jesus suffered the hell that we deserved in our place, as our substitute. There is simply no greater love than thiiis anywhere in the world. And Psalm 51:11 says this: Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions.
